Summer 2018 - Fairytales & Legends
Free action-packed hip hop and street dance sessions based on the legend of Snow White
Dance4ALL workshops are 30-minute sessions promoting fitness, dance and fun for children in Years 1–5. From April to July 2018 the workshops will be based on a dance version of Snow White, exploring themes of jealousy, vanity, kindness and reward.
The 'Killa Queen' is the undisputed wickedest dancer in the land until disaster strikes and her mirror ball declares that a certain Snow White now has the cooler moves. Together with her Hip Hop Hunstmen, she hatches an evil plot to regain her crown. But can she defeat the combined talents of Snow and her pint-sized prodigies, the Seven Little Dancers?
Using our own modernised take on the classic story, the children will unpack the story themes through dance and improvisation. They’ll learn how emotions can be expressed through movement and we'll also challenge them to learn part of our 'Killa Queen' dance routine.
The sessions are led by a DBS checked dance specialist and are formulated for the specific age-ranges of the classes.
