Nursery Rhymes

Help your baby's language skills develop by singing some nursery rhymes. The ones with actions are the most fun.

You can use any nursery rhyme you like - I've popped some examples below:

"Round and round the garden
Like a teddy bear
One step, two step
Tickle you under there."

Whilst saying this rhyme walk your fingers up your baby's arm and tickle them at the end.

"This little piggy went to market
This little piggy stayed at home.
This little piggy had roast beef,
This little piggy had none.
And this little piggy cried "Wee! Wee! Wee!" all the way home."

Count each piggy as a toe and the final ‘Wee! Wee! Wee!' line can be accompanied by a tickle under the foot.
