Outer Space

An exciting and unique approach to learning about the solar system. Using drama techniques, their brains and bodies, the children will discover just what is out there in the universe:

* Understand key intergalactic terminology by becoming comets, meteors and asteroids
* Explore the relationship between the sun, earth and moon using our own bodies
* Learn about famous figures in space, including Neil Armstrong, Galileo and Isaac Newton
* Learn the ‘Planet Rap,’ a modern rhyme about space travel.**

**The ‘Planet Rap’ exercise has a follow up literacy exercise. Please enquire for more information about this on booking.

Learning objectives:

To describe the movement of the Earth, and other planets, relative to the sun in the solar system.
To describe the movement of the moon relative to the Earth.

Miranda was a fantastic and engaging workshop leader who captured the interest of all children (including a few 'reluctant' boys!) She was very helpful in adapting the workshop around our school timetable. Thank you!
