Frequently Asked Questions
Why are you more expensive than other drama schools? (continued)
5) What's the source of your workshop activities?
Many drama schools use generic activities derived from books or traditional sources such as nursery rhymes. Perform creates all its games and exercises in-house using concepts which have been developed over years of experience with this age-range.
6) What materials are the children given to accompany and reinforce the classes?
At Perform, each term every child receives a themed poster and a new sticker each week to reflect what they've learnt. They also receive a colourful script-pack for teh end-of-term presentation and you can purchase CDs of the original songs and dances to listen to at home.
7) Can I speak to the person who teaches my child?
At Perform, you can. You will be given the telephone numbers of your Manager, your Area Manager and the principal, Lucy Quick. You can call them at any time to discuss how your child is getting on.
8) How do you maintain the quality of your classes?
Many drama schools are actually franchises and are often run by inexperienced franchisees with minimal support from the franchisor. All Perform schools are managed centrally, the staff are recruited and trained together and the workshops are inspected regularly by Area Managers meaning that the highest standards are maintained.
Remember that enrolling at a cheaper class will almost certainly mean compromising on one of the above. At best, this will mean your child will derive less enjoyment and benefits from the workshops. At worst, if safety and security procedures are not in place, your child could be at risk.
