Jungle Explorers - Come and try a FREE Trial Session!

Our Jungle theme is well underway and there's been plenty of growling, roaring and trumpeting heard across the South-East in the past few weeks. The good news is that it's not too late to join in the fun.

FREE Trial Sessions can be taken at any point in the term - meaning there's still time to experience the fun of the The Jungle Rumble and find Snow The White Tiger! Contact us to book your child's place at your nearest venue.

Good luck to the June Challengers!

With over 450 children preparing to enter a Bronze,Silver, Gold or Platinum Challenge next month, this is the biggest Challenge entry Perform has ever known.

Lucy Quick, Principal of Perform said, "Entering a Challenge is not to be undertaken lightly and I am so proud of all the children who are working so hard on their songs, poems and dances to wow the Challengers next month. Best of luck to all of them and I hope they all enjoy receiving their certificates after the end of term presentation."

Introduce a Friend and earn £25!

Don't forget that you can earn a £25 Perform voucher every friend you introduce to Perform who subsequently signs up for our weekly workshops. To take part, either:

  • call us on 0845 400 4000 with your friend's full details; or
  • ask your friend to mention you when they call up to give their details for the first time; or
  • fill in some of our "Introduce A Friend" postcards (like the one below) available from your Perform Manager or the Perform Office and give them to your friends to claim a FREE Drama Workshop.

The only problem you'll have is choosing which of your friends to offer them to!

Hi ,

If you're wondering how to keep the kids entertained this summer - look no further. Our energetic Summer Experience workshops for 4-12 yr olds are full of games, songs and laughter and with 50 venues across London and the South-East, there's bound to be one near you.

4-8 year olds will have a great time exploring the magical world of Mermaids & Pirates - and 8-12year olds will love working with a team of theatre professionals putting on a production of Disney's High School Musical. With durations from three to five days, there's something to fit into the busiest holiday schedule.

If your child hasn't tried Perform yet and you're a little unsure, why not bring them along for a FREE Trial Session at your nearest Perform venue? We're having a great time with our Jungle theme this term and a Free Trial Session is a risk-free way to find out if Perform is right for your child.

To find your nearest Summer Experience venue, click here, call us on 0845 400 4000 or book online. But do hurry. Places are going quickly and our most popular venues are already almost full.

I hope to see you and your child at a Perform class soon.

With best wishes,

Lucy.

Perform Parties: traditional themes still win the day

In these days of multi-national media empires competing for children's attentions, it's good to know that the old traditional themes are still the most popular when it comes to special occasions.

Out of almost 1500 Perform Parties in the past year, Mermaids & Pirates was the runaway favourite, easily beating Superheroes, Fairytale Forest and Peter Pan into the next three places. Here's the Top Ten:

  1. Mermaids & Pirates
  2. Superheroes
  3. Fairytale Forest
  4. Peter Pan
  5. High School Musical
  6. Charlie & the Chocolate Factory
  7. Popstarz
  8. The Magician's Chamber
  9. Hawaiian Hula
  10. Perfect Princess

For more information about how a Perform Party can turn your child's special day into the talk of the playground, please contact us or book online.

Calling all boys & girls! Stow away on The Golden Hinde and learn to be a real Pirate!

Wanted: Budding pirates for a seafaring, swashbuckling, treasure-seeking school with a difference! No landlubbers need apply!

Perform and The Golden Hinde, Captain Drake’s ship, are uniting for a unique event to both commemorate this piratical voyage and give London’s 4-8 year olds the chance to become pirates themselves!

The lucky young Swashbucklers who claim a place will be put through their paces on board The Golden Hinde on Sunday 8th June 2008 at 12pm sharp. They will develop their coordination by walking the plank and climbing the look-out, hone their concentration by hunting for treasure, explore their communication skills by learning a secret pirate language and build their confidence by braving a trial on King Neptune’s throne!

There are thirty FREE places on offer, available on a first come, first served basis. Call NOW on 0845 400 4000 quoting Golden Hinde Pirate School to reserve your child’s place!

Behind The Scenes of 'High School Musical 3'

High School Musical 3 in rehearsal. The film is expected to be released in Autumn 2008.

With the huge success of the first High School Musical movies, and a third set to hit the big screen, one might think that the cast has developed egos or take their fame for granted.

Not so, says the cast. “We really are all friends,” said Lucas Grabeel in a recent interview. The cast of High School Musical 3 took ABC News behind the scenes as they rehearsed and filmed their scenes and songs. They dished on the plot, the costumes, the rehearsals, and what makes the third movie so much better than the first two!

“Some of our numbers are enormous,” said director and choreographer Kenny Ortega of HSM3. “They really are reminiscent of the musicals of yester year. We’ve got a number that happens in the cafeteria that has about 500 kids in it. So, in that respect, we’re bigger and we’re better.
