Music, movement & make-believe
If you want to introduce the children at your nursery to the joy of music, develop their coordination or help stimulate a colourful imagination, our Nursery Explorer Workshops are for you.
More than just another music-based session, our nursery workshops include a range of lively activities; you'll observe the children's delight in the growing capabilities of their body, see them captivated by the power of dramatic story-telling and watch in awe as they explore the worlds of colour, texture and language.
With catchy themed songs, fun games and colourful props to stimulate physical, cognitive and social development, our sessions are great fun for both children and staff. The sessions last for 3 hours and are divided into three parts, each focusing on a different area of development.
Wiggle & Bounce - Using a range of musical styles, this section starts with a fun physical warm-up which progresses into a yoga-based stretch routine. It's followed by a mixture of movement and coordination games ending with a funky Mini Ps jive dance.
Giggle & Shout - Specially written songs and stories are formulated to build social and language skills and help develop an early understanding of phonics, vocabulary, word recognition and comprehension. This section includes a fun vocal warm-up, tongue-twisters, rhymes and exploring rhythm using musical instruments.
Jiggle & Play - A range of stimulating visual aids and toys help children to refine their sense of colour and texture, develop motor skills and add to their repertoire of experiences. Beginning with an interactive storytelling session and rounding off with bubble magic and a goodbye song, Jiggle and Play will enrich each child's creative instincts during this critical period.
