Perform helps reading and writing skills
Research shows that children who have taken part in drama, dance and singing have better reading and writing skills.
This may be because they have learnt to create images in their minds while reading or developed their imagination thereby improving their creative writing.
Whatever the reason, drama is now seen as a essential in teaching literacy skills and giving children a lasting love of books and language.
And it's not just literacy. A recent study by the National Theatre showed children with experience of drama workshops scored higher in Maths SATS as well. So regular workshops at Mini Ps, Perform or Perform Plus could make a big difference to your child in the classroom.
